Instructions of Inhalers

1. Shake the inhaler immediately before each use. Remove the cap from the mouthpiece.
 
2. Breathe out air thouroghly (as much as possible). Place mouthpiece into your mouth holding the inhaer in its upright position and colsing your lips around it. Make sure your tongue is place below the mouthpiece.
 
3. Breathe in deeply and slowly while pressing the canister to release the medication into the mouth. Then let go of the canister after hearing the puff.
 
4. Hold breath as long as possible, at least 10 seconds. Before breathing out, remove inhaler from mouth.
 
5. If the doctor perscribed you to take more than one puff, wait one minute then repeat the steps.
 
6. After finishing dosage, wash the mouthpiece (without the canister) by placing it under running warm water. Then shake out excess water and air dried. The inhaler may stop spraying if not properly cleaned. If you don't clean the mouthpiece, saliva could build up and the mouthpiece will become clogged.
 
Instructions for Spacers:
1. Shake the inhaler well.
 
2. Attach inhaler to end of spacer.
 
3. Hold head up and sit up straight. Breathe in and out narmally once, then stop for a moment.
 
4. Close mouth over oppostie end of spacer.
 
5. Squeeze inhaler, breathe in slowly. Continue inhaling for a total of 5 to 7 seconds.
 
6. After inhaling, remove spacer out of mouth and exhale through the nose.
 
7. After doses, gargle with water or brush teeth.
